<p><strong>Brief: </strong>An interpretation of Norman Mailer’s The Fight<br style="clear: both;" /><br style="clear: both;" /><strong>Description:</strong> The Fight is Mailer’s account of the Ali vs Foreman fight that took place in 1974 and is better known as the “Rumble in the Jungle”. The story is written from an introspective point of view; one that has Mailer examining not only his mental and emotional state but those of the fighters. While reading the story one line in particular stood out:<br style="clear: both;" /><br style="clear: both;" /><strong>“Fighters live in a dimension of boredom that others cannot begin to contemplate.”</strong><br style="clear: both;" /><br style="clear: both;" />That line drove the concept, Tim wanted know what that dimension looked like? In addition to the stills we shot for the book, we made a short trailer for online and display use.</p>
<p>The <strong><a title="manifestation" href="http://www.mrjakylworks.com/#/mass%20appeal/the%20fight/1">manifestation</a> </strong>under mass appeal section includes the initial moodboard, test stills, main stills, and some of the final selects for the book.</p>
<p>Design, illustration, model and art direction: Timothy Young (timdidthat.com)<br style="clear: both;" />Photography and video: Mr. Jakyl</p>

The delays, prices, and etc, etc. just sometimes annoy us. Even when on the plane, some now use the internet, work, or just sleep pulling down blinder ignoring the world outside. I can understand when you&#8217;re not sitting next to the window. But when you are, sometimes the world presents itself in mysterious ways and the beauty of flying is right in-front of you.</p>
<p>It reminds me of a part in one of Pindar&#8217;s poems:</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.4em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; line-height: inherit;">And those that have three times kept to their oaths, keeping their souls clean and pure,</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.4em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; line-height: inherit;">Never letting their hearts be defiled by the taint</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.4em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; line-height: inherit;">Of evil and injustice,</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.4em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; line-height: inherit;">And barbaric veniality,</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.4em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; line-height: inherit;">They are led by Zeus to the end:</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.4em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; line-height: inherit;">To the palace of Kronos,</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.4em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; line-height: inherit;">Where soothing breezes off the Ocean</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.4em; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0.5em; margin-left: 0px; line-height: inherit;">Breathe over the Isle of the Blessed:</p>
